All pathogen (bad) bacteria have lipid fats in their membranes (good bacteria do not). This allows Monolaurin to slowly absorb in, weakening the membranes and, eventually, the membranes rupture and the cell dies. The more lipid fats they have, and the more blood flow to the area, the quicker monolaurin absorbs in – and the quicker they die! Monolaurin is also effective against 14 virus families as well.
